As a Senior Front End Developer you will be working with our software development team to plan, design, code and test features for our Integrated Skills Management system.  Sound good so far?   • Minimum of five years professional experience with front-end web development.
  • Fluent in modern front-end frameworks for web applications and front-end architecture.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a team, mentoring and collaborating with other developers and participating in code reviews.
  • Expert knowledge of React.
  • A solid understanding of state management approaches in React, including Redux and Context API.
  • Knowledge and experience with different approaches to styling React components, including JSS and CSS-in-JS.
  • Can explain approaches and challenges to unit testing front-end applications.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design would be considered an asset, including how to optimize the number of API requests within single page applications.
  • Help guide the direction of front-end implementation, adhering to industry best-practices.
  • Create sophisticated, interactive, and highly available web applications.
  • Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit testing and code review.
  • Help evolve our standard component library.
  • Provide guidance on UX design.
  • Integrate with various third-party applications and data sources.
  • Provide input and estimates for planning.
  • Mentor and provide support for team members.
