Since last year’s event, we’ve made significant strides in collaboration with our industry oversight partners—launching new national and regional initiatives that reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation, accessibility, and industry impact.
Our latest national initiative, the launch of Commercial Driving Fundamentals, was developed in collaboration with the Canadian Safety Council and funded by the Government of Canada’s Skills for Success program. This fully online, bilingual course provides prospective and current Class 1/A drivers with essential foundational knowledge—before they ever take the wheel.
With over 4,000 completions and counting across the country, the course is helping ensure that new drivers are better prepared, safer, and more confident as they enter this vital sector.
We’ve also expanded our efforts through a strategic new partnership with Alberta’s Ministry of Transportation. Together, we’re co-developing a self-paced, online entry component for the forthcoming Class 1 Driver Learning Pathway—a forward-looking initiative that will give learners across Alberta a modern, flexible start to their training journey.
We recognize that training must not only meet today’s needs—but also anticipate tomorrow’s. That’s why we were proud to work alongside THRSC Atlantic to develop and launch a new awareness training program designed specifically for Atlantic Canada’s trucking workforce called ZEV-AT.
This interactive online training course features two versions, one for drivers and one for Owners/Managers/Staff and focuses on empowering the sector with knowledge and skills to navigate the shift to zero-emission vehicles, improve energy efficiency, and play an active role in building a cleaner, smarter transportation future. As the industry transitions to more sustainable practices, we’re committed to making sure truckers are informed, supported, and prepared for what’s ahead.
At the heart of each of these initiatives is a core belief: everyone in the trucking ecosystem deserves access to quality training—anywhere, anytime. Whether it’s through our SkillsPass platform or via direct partnerships with governments, industry oversight groups, sector councils, and training providers, we’re making it easier to deliver consistent, regulatory-aligned training across jurisdictions and job roles. Delivering modernized training in an easily accessible and consumable fashion is no longer a nice to have- it’s a must.
