In doing so, we work with a variety of government, industry, and training organizations that entrust us to manage valuable and often sensitive information. It’s a responsibility we take very seriously, and we take aim to rigorously protect all sensitive data under our purview.

SOC 2 Type 2 Certification- 3 Years Running!

Our commitment not only applies to internal practices and controls, but also to achieving third party certifications and audit approvals. And to that end, we’re pleased to announce that Bluedrop ISM has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification for the third year in a row!. Bluedrop ISM’s achievement of this certification reflects its continued focus on providing the highest level of security for its customers.

SOC 2 (System & Organizational Control) certification was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is considered the gold standard for data security and requires companies to establish internal controls and follow strict information security policies and procedures. SOC 2 is also one of the most commonly accepted security compliance standards available in North America. It’s also one of the most rigorous certifications that exists, which attests that the business who holds one has worked diligently to instill best practices and they’re serious about maintaining these standards in the future, which we are!

SOC 2 Type 1 assesses whether an organization is taking proper security measures at a specific point in time, whereas SOC 2 Type 2 looks at their maintenance over a period of time. Both types are tangible proof that what an organization says they’re doing from an organizational and technical standpoint is actually what’s happening in the background. Both require an independent 3rd party / audit firm to come in and assess the design, quality and effectiveness of your controls, policies and procedures as it relates to data security. And this applies to our operation at Bluedrop ISM and related aspects of our SkillsPass workforce training platform.

Our commitment to security and compliance is organizational-wide, and is led by our stellar Information Security Committee who is represented by several areas of the business – Operations, Development, Dev Ops, IT and Project Management. The structure of the team has provided huge benefits in capturing perspectives from all across the business.
