THE ROLE

As a Nurse Educator, you will be at the forefront of preparing healthcare professionals for success in both VR and screen-based simulations. This role combines clinical education, simulation facilitation, curriculum development, and product knowledge, with ongoing collaboration with the Director of Healthcare Innovation and Learning Solutions.

You will provide learners the foundational knowledge required for each scenario; guide them through immersive simulation experiences; and lead structured debriefs to support reflective learning and competency development. You will also play a key role in testing simulations, updating curriculum, supporting learners between sessions, and contributing to product demonstrations with customers.

This role is ideal for a clinically experienced educator who is passionate about innovation, simulation pedagogy, and supporting diverse healthcare professionals—including Internationally Educated Nurses—through transformative learning experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EXPERIENCE
Required
  • Registered Nurse, with minimum 5 years acute care clinical practice experience and active
    practicing licence.
  • Experience delivering clinical teaching, mentoring, simulation education, or hands-on
    training.
  • Comfort with technology, especially VR platforms, LMS/e-learning systems, and basic
    troubleshooting.
  • Experience creating psychologically safe learning spaces.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and facilitation
    abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse groups and support learners in a non-judgmental,
    culturally safe manner.
Preferred
  • Experience with simulation facilitation, debriefing frameworks, and scenario development.
  • Familiarity with virtual reality training environments (e.g., Meta Quest, InvolveXR) and/or
    screen-based simulations.
  • Experience supporting Internationally Educated Nurses is considered an asset.
  • Prior work in product training, customer success, quality assurance, or educational
    technology.
