About Us
The Role

As a Nurse Educator, you will be at the forefront of preparing healthcare professionals for success in both VR and screen-based simulations. This role combines clinical education, simulation facilitation, curriculum development, and product knowledge, with ongoing collaboration with the Director of Healthcare Innovation and Learning Solutions.

You will provide learners the foundational knowledge required for each scenario; guide them through immersive simulation experiences; and lead structured debriefs to support reflective learning and competency development. You will also play a key role in testing simulations, updating curriculum, supporting learners between sessions, and contributing to product demonstrations with customers.

This role is ideal for a clinically experienced educator who is passionate about innovation, simulation pedagogy, and supporting diverse healthcare professionals—including Internationally Educated Nurses—through transformative learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Educational Responsibilities
● Teach, coach, and support healthcare professionals as they learn to navigate VR and screen-based simulation environments.
● Deliver pre-briefs, simulation teaching sessions, and structured debriefs using recognized simulation frameworks.
● Provide ongoing learner support, including monitoring and engaging in the cohort WhatsApp community, answering questions, and escalating issues as needed.
● Evaluate learner progress and provide constructive, individualized feedback.

Curriculum, Simulation & Scenario Development

● Collaborate with the Director to update curriculum and learning pathways.
● Assist in the design, testing, and refinement of VR and screen-based simulation scenarios to ensure clinical accuracy, usability, and alignment with learning objectives.
● Contribute to new scenario and eLearning development, including writing learning outcomes, expected actions, branching logic, and assessment components.
● Validate clinical content and ensure simulations reflect current evidence-based practice.

Product Knowledge & Testing

● Maintain expert-level knowledge of Bluedrop’s healthcare training products and partner VR platforms.
● Perform scenario testing and quality checks for both VR and screen-based simulations prior to deployment.
● Identify technical or usability issues and collaborate with the team on resolutions.
● Provide user insights, workflow observations, and clinical recommendations to support platform improvements.

Customer Training & Support

● Lead virtual and in-person training sessions for individuals or organizations adopting VR or digital simulation.
● Lead onboarding of new cohorts, educators, and site leads.
● Respond to learner and customer inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
● Contribute to building and maintaining training materials, quick-start guides, and orientation resources.

Product Demonstrations & Customer Engagement

● Participate in meetings, demos, and presentations with prospective or current customers.
● Represent Bluedrop ISM at conferences, trade shows, and simulation events as able.
● Share educator perspectives to strengthen customer relationships and highlight the value of immersive learning.

Operational & Deployment Support

● Coordinate with IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of training technologies.
● Document training issues, learner feedback, and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

Required

● Registered Nurse, with minimum 5 years acute care clinical practice experience and active practicing licence.
● Experience delivering clinical teaching, mentoring, simulation education, or hands-on training.
● Comfort with technology, especially VR platforms, LMS/e-learning systems, and basic troubleshooting.
● Experience creating psychologically safe learning spaces
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
● Ability to build rapport with diverse groups and support learners in a non-judgmental, culturally safe manner.

Preferred

● Experience with simulation facilitation, debriefing frameworks, and scenario development.
● Familiarity with virtual reality training environments (e.g., Meta Quest, InvolveXR) and/or screen-based simulations.
● Experience supporting Internationally Educated Nurses is considered an asset.
● Prior work in product training, customer success, quality assurance, or educational technology.
